Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana

Welcome to Slovenia’s charming capital. Settle in and take a relaxed walk along the Ljubljanica River. Admire the Triple Bridge, the Cathedral, and the Dragon Bridge, symbols of the city.

Dinner in the Old Town with views of Ljubljana Castle, which you can visit via funicular or on foot. Try local specialties like žlikrofi (stuffed dumplings) or jota (sour cabbage stew).

Day 2: Explore Ljubljana

Breakfast, Private guided visit

Visit Central Market (designed by Jože Plecnik), tour the castle, and enjoy a coffee on Kongresni Trg square.

Optional: Take a boat cruise along the river or visit Metelkova, a creative hub filled with street art.

Evening: Craft beer tasting or a rooftop dinner overlooking the castle.

Day 3: Ljubljana to Lake Bled

Breakfast, Scenic drive (45 min)

Arrive at Lake Bled, Slovenia’s postcard-perfect destination. Row or take a pletna boat to Bled Island, ring the wishing bell, and visit Bled Castle perched above the lake.

Optional: Hike Ojstrica for iconic sunrise views.

Don’t miss a slice of Bled cream cake by the water.

Day 4: Day Trip to Lake Bohinj & Savica Waterfall

Breakfast, Nature day (30 min drive)

Explore the peaceful Lake Bohinj in Triglav National Park. Take the cable car to Mount Vogel for panoramic views. Hike to Savica Waterfall, one of Slovenia’s prettiest.

Optional: Paragliding, paddleboarding, or just lakeside relaxing. Return to Bled for the night.

Day 5: Drive the Vršic Pass to Soca Valley

Breakfast, Epic Alpine drive (2 hrs)

Cross the scenic Vršic Pass (open in warm months) with 50 hairpin turns and jaw-dropping Alpine views.

Descend into the Soca Valley, known for its emerald-green river. Stop at Kobarid and visit the WWI museum or do the easy Kozjak Waterfall hike.

Stay in Bovec, a small town perfect for adventure seekers.

Day 6: Adventure in the Soca Valley

Breakfast, Choose your thrill

Go white-water rafting, canyoning, or zip-lining over the Soca River. For a quieter day, picnic by the river, fly-fish, or cycle along the water.

Dinner in a rustic Alpine restaurant with local trout and Slovenian wines.

Day 7: Soca Valley to Goriška Brda Wine Region

Breakfast, Drive (1.5 hrs)

Arrive in Goriška Brda, Slovenia’s version of Tuscany. Rolling hills, cypress trees, vineyards, and hilltop villages.

Wine tasting at boutique family-owned wineries—look for Rebula and Merlot.

Stay in a vineyard villa or countryside guesthouse with sunset views.

Day 8: Explore Brda and Vipava Valley

Breakfast, Day trip option

Spend the day touring small villages like Šmartno and Dobrovo. Continue to Vipava Valley for more wine, rock climbing, or paragliding.

Lunch in a Michelin-recommended slow-food restaurant.

Return to your Brda hideaway and unwind.

Day 9: Brda to Piran (Adriatic Coast)

Breakfast, Drive (1.5 hrs)

Arrive at the Slovenian Riviera and check into a hotel in Piran, a Venetian-style seaside gem. Wander through Tartini Square, climb to the city walls for sea views, and enjoy the sunset from the promenade.

Dinner: Fresh seafood and local Malvazija wine.

Day 10: Relax in Piran & Coastline

Breakfast, Coastal day

Swim or sunbathe at Fiesa Beach or take a boat ride along the coast.

Optional: Visit Portorož for a spa day or enjoy mussels and sparkling wine by the sea.

Evening: Stroll under the stars or attend a live classical concert in the square.

Day 11: Piran to Postojna Caves & Predjama Castle

Breakfast, Drive (1 hr)

Visit Postojna Cave, one of Europe’s most spectacular cave systems. Ride the underground train and marvel at stalactites and stone curtains.

Nearby, explore Predjama Castle, a fairytale fortress built into a cliff.

Optional: Stop at the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO site with a massive underground canyon. Overnight nearby or head back to Ljubljana.

Day 12: Return to Ljubljana

Breakfast, Return (1 hr)

Back in the capital, enjoy a relaxed day. Visit any missed museums or chill at Tivoli Park.

Pick up souvenirs like pumpkin seed oil, honey, or handmade ceramics.

Farewell dinner at a fine-dining restaurant or riverside terrace.

Day 13–14: Optional Add-ons

  • Maribor & Ptuj (2 days): Slovenia’s oldest towns with castles, thermal spas, and the world’s oldest grapevine.
  • Logar Valley (1–2 nights): A hidden Alpine gem perfect for hiking, biking, and peaceful nature.
  • Day trip to Trieste or Venice (Italy) if you’re near the coast.

Day 15: Departure

Depending on your flight time, grab a coffee at Cafetino or one last pastry before heading home.
